You are worthy of feeling good in and about your body. You are worthy of learning how to find calm and sense stillness in your body and your mind. I would love to share this pathway of yoga with you. My passion is nurturing each individual to help them realize their true potential. I can help you discover your connection to self through purposeful movement and finding your breath. Have the courage to be as good to yourself as you are to others. I believe in yoga as a guide to finding our place in the family of things. I opened The Family Tree Yoga and Massage in 2008 with my husband, Zach, to be able to do what I loved as well as better balance time with my family. We wanted to offer a space to build community where people could, individually and collectively, nurture their wellbeing through movement and bodywork. I am a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with a specialty as a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) and one of only three teachers in the state of Iowa to achieve this special certification. I have taught yoga since 2000, and completed teacher trainings with Baron Baptiste, James Miller, Robin Sales and Debbie and Carlos Rosas. Combined with my background as a Registered Nurse and a Certified Yoga Wellness Coach, I compassionately meet you where you are at and help you reach your potential. I am the grateful momma to two boys, Sullivan ('05) and Cohen ('08), and to our daughter, Eversen ('13). I’m so pleased to share this passion of movement and quality living with you!
